Museum of Contemporary Art – In the Museum of Contemporary art you can see the work of the most influential artists from Yugoslav, Serbian and foreign art of 20th century.
The building is in New Belgrade, in a park near confluence Sava-Danube, across the Belgrade Fortress. Its original and modern architecture perfectly matches its purpose and is among interesting examples of museum examples in the world.

Museum was established in 1965, when the Modern gallery established in 1958 grew into the museum of Contemporary art, whose goal was to present the development of Serbian and Yugoslav art from 1900 to cultural public.
It was established upon examples of museums from New York and PAris – interior is divided into 5 exhibition levels, connected with stairs, with no vertical partitions or walls enabling visitors to enjoy the pieces from different angles and from different levels.
Museum holds collection of paintings from 1900 to 1945, collection of paintings from 1945, collection of sculptures, drawings and graphics, collection of artistic media such are photographies, film, video etc.
Belgrade Museums – in frame of the museum was established atelier for conversation and restoration of works of art. Special emphasis goes to “Center for visual culture and information” established in 1974, and to “Department for design and multimedia” established in 2001. Museum held numerous exhibitions of European and world artists and artistic groups like Picasso, Juan Miro, Marcel DUchamp and many others.
